Airport 037 chair by Geoffrey Harcourt for Kaufeld, 1960s. This chair impresses with its unique and absolutely timeless design. It is in very good condition. The original black artificial leather is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. The chrome structure has a patina consistent with age. Due to the shape of the armrests, this model is also known as the "bullhorn" chair. Hans Kaufeld founded his factory in Bielefeld in 1918 and concentrated on producing high-quality, beautifully designed furniture. In the 1960s Kaufeld also supplied his chairs to the Chancellery. The Airport 037 chair was designed for Kaufeld in the 1960s by English designer Geoffrey Harcourt, known for several Space Age icons. Seat height: 44 cm. Seat depth: 43 cm.
