Item description
Table by Carlo Scarpa for Cattelan, 1970s. Tempered glass top and Verde Tinos marble bases. Verde Tinos marble, from the island of Tinos in Greece, has white veins that blend with dark green, giving rise to various shades; this material was highly prized by the Hellenic people, who used it as far back as antiquity and is still used in interiors to give elegance and luster to rooms. The bases are formed by five U-shaped slabs that create a kind of scale that gives them depth. This refined table is ideal as a decorative table or for use by four diners or by substituting glass even more. It features the original manufacturer's and designer's label and logo. Overall it is in excellent condition and has no marked or too obvious defects but has signs and imperfections as pictured. The glass is in excellent condition and has no defects. The bases are in good condition and have no structural defects; one of the two has undergone a restoration that does not affect its beauty as it is mostly invisible and both may have some slight chips as visible in the photos.
