Description: Neapolitan Smith bookcase in mahogany feather with maple inlay grafts belonging to the early 19th century. The front elevation is characterized by two glass doors with a series of maple shelves inside that are easily adjustable via a ladder system. The two corners have narrowings in the center with a leaf motif and have sphinx heads in the upper part of the hat. The hat appears to have shelled upwards, while the base has a curvature highlighted by a dense raceme inlay. The two uprights of the doors are convex and are enriched by the presence of raceme maple inlays. Provenance: Naples, early 19th century. Conditions: Excellent state of conservation.
