Set of five S44 chairs by Giancarlo Vegni and Gianfranco Gualtierotti for Fasem, 1990s. This group of dining chairs comes in whiskey-colored leather with a distinctive patina throughout, which is what makes them so charming, especially in this color; otherwise the leather and the black painted metal structure show only slight signs of wear. The metal rods that run high in the backrest give these chairs a timeless modernity typical of the Italian designer couple Vegni-Gualtierotti. Fasem is a small Tuscan furniture manufacturer that has been combining the typical Tuscan leather craftsmanship with modern materials such as chrome since the 1970s.
