Important pair of 18th-century lacquered wooden angel heads from northern Italy. The angel heads with wings are carved from a single piece of wood and decorated in polychrome with gold mecha wings. The sculptures are excellently made, the faces are beautiful, where one can still distinguish the various shades of the complexion, the red lips and the dark part of the hair. The objects are in excellent condition, there are no flaws or breaks, just some signs of ageing which is normal for such ancient objects; I recommend looking carefully at the photographs which are very detailed.
