Armchair 717 and pouf 716 in black leather, beautiful Alivar set. Black lacquered bentwood and soft black leather upholstery. Design Charles & Ray Eames, 1956. Excellent state of preservation. Used for design exhibitions, for display, as new. It was designed in the early 1950s by the Eames couple and after many years of work, the first models were finally marketed in 1956. The inspiration came from a soft baseball glove in which to be gently enveloped and sunk. The armchair has a frame made of curved plywood veneered in black lacquer with an upholstered backrest and seat covered in soft black leather. 5-spoke cast aluminium swivel base. List price for the set of two artefacts 5400 euro. Height: 86 cm, width: 86 cm, depth: 80 cm.
