SILVER Seller in La-Spezia, Italia
A refined flap entirely veneered in rosewood and bois de rose with a geometric motif known as ‘marqueterie’. The high movable legs support the calatoia inside which we find two small drawers, open compartments and a small sliding shelf. The cabinet is richly embellished with gilded bronze applications. Note the extremely refined hinges and lock bearing engraved decorative motifs. The flap is presented as a centre piece, being finished also on the back. Typical example of French production from the Napoleon III era (second half of the 19th century). The dimensions are: 69 x 44, height 86 cm.
