Item description

Pair of moulded fir wood panels painted in polychrome with angels holding flower garlands. Lombardy 18th century. The panels present a posture and features in soft lines and the well-defined faces are from the 18th century, with remnants of the Baroque. The posture of the faces suggests that they were originally placed high above the audience. The wood shows signs of the passage of centuries, in particular cracks due to natural movement.
