Item description
Topo table lamp with clamp by Joe Colombo for Stilnovo, 1970s. It is characterized by a unique design that resembles the shape of a mouse, from which it takes its name; in fact "topo" is the Italian word for "mouse". Made with materials such as aluminum and metal, the lamp guarantees durability over time and embodies industrial aesthetics. It features an on/off switch located on the lampshade and a clamp that allows you to attach the base to the edge of a worktop or shelf. The adjustable arm and heat-insulated handle allow users to direct the light as needed without the risk of burns, improving functionality and ease of use. These features make the lamp ideal for saving space on the worktop and also suitable for use as a drawing lamp. The Topo lamp, with its mix of functionalism and playful aesthetics – typical of Colombo's innovative and futuristic designs – remains a timeless example of mid-century innovation that fits perfectly into modern interiors. The lamp is in excellent condition, it has signs of use visible in the photos. The manufacturer's writing is present on the plastic joint which verifies its authenticity. Due to the rare color combination and paint marks, we believe the lamp arm was probably repainted by the previous owner.
