Danish round teak extendable table, 1960s. Closely linked to Kai Kristiansen designs of the era, it features clean lines, craftsmanship and a harmonious mix of functionality and beauty. The use of teak wood, a popular choice among Danish furniture makers of that era, not only exudes warmth and richness but also shows the high level of skill and artistry involved in its construction. The table's clever extension mechanism allows it to seamlessly transition from a compact size to a larger surface area, meeting different needs and occasions. The table features two additional extension leaves, one of which has a slightly darker shade. This color difference can be attributed to the previous owner's less frequent use of the fully extended table. Over time, natural wood will change color. It was decided not to unify the shade as it reflects the long history of the furniture. The darker extension leaf adds visual interest when placed between the lighter colored parts. The table has been checked and is in excellent original condition with minimal signs of use considering its age. The "DANISH FURNITUREMAKERS QUALITY" stamp, located on the bottom, certifies its authenticity and high quality craftsmanship. The wood has been cleaned with professional products and the surface is almost pristine. The legs are detachable, making it easier to transport and store the furniture. Tabletop height: 65 cm. Single extension leaf width: 49 cm.
