Secretaire panelled in bois de rose and rosewood. The front of the cabinet features a drawer under the mottled red marble top, the abattànt concealing small drawers and open compartments and two doors at the bottom. The entire surface is finely threaded in green-stained pearwood and boxwood with geometric motifs. The abattànt is centred by a four-lobed reserve in bois de rose with the grain arranged in a herring-bone pattern, while the two doors feature an oval motif made using the same technique. The feet are in the shape of an inverted truncated pyramid, fitted with gilded bronze sabots. Original fittings and vents. Piedmont, late 18th century. Dimensions: 89 x42 cm, height 146 cm.
