Item description
An elegant and functional chest of drawers by Kai Kristiansen made in Denmark in the 1960s. This is a rare seven-drawer model, also known as a semainier, popular in 18th-century France (the name comes from the French word for week, semaine), which was intended to separate the copious personal linen of the time in supplies from Monday to Sunday. The dresser has a nicely curved front with round solid teak handles, a teak base and features a beautiful and perfectly matching teak veneer. The top drawer closes with the preserved original key. The chest of drawers has been checked by our team. All drawers are clean and function smoothly. We have cleaned the wood meticulously and the surface has been refreshed with several coats of Danish oil. Excellent vintage condition with slight traces of use. We have two such drawers that can be purchased as a set.
