Ugo Celada da Virgilio, Hand, pencil on paper, 1906
PLATINUM Seller in Milano, Italy
Pencil on paper. Signed lower right. On the reverse side there is an additional sketch of a donkey's head. Celada's painting is capable of freezing reality in time and space, in a manner that appears detached, analytical and scientifically exact (colours, reflections, transparencies), but communicating - as opposed to a total unreality - a great narrative pathos. A study of the artist's hand, still very young, but already capable of powerful expressiveness in sketching the figure, is proposed here. Framed work.
