Item description
Lombard centre desk from the 19th century, made of oak and briar root. Curious desk with an articulated design, offering a large shelf space inside the left-hand side door, and 4 practical drawers inside the right-hand side door. The threaded, rooted top gives it importance, and the organ pipe mouldings on the panelling characterise it, while the welcoming, recessed half-moon seat distinguishes it from the multitude.
