This unique pair of vintage Italian wall sconces features two curved sheets of overlapping glass. The outer sheet is gray-green,
while the one underneath is white opaline glass,
creating a fascinating light-diffusing effect. Each sconce is mounted on a chrome-plated metal frame that supports two light sources
and attaches to the wall. The light sources, positioned in the center of the structure, are covered by glass plates, distributing light evenly and avoiding glare, thus creating soft and welcoming ambient lighting. This type of diffusion is ideal for creating a relaxing
and sophisticated atmosphere in any setting. The sconces were made between 1970 and 1973 in a workshop on the outskirts of Milan, where skilled craftsmen faithfully followed a design by the renowned Veca company, inspired by Fontana Arte. Veca is a prestigious Italian company that has been transforming crystal and plastic into functional designs for many years. Fontana Arte, founded in Milan in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Giò Ponti, is another esteemed Italian company specializing in glass processing and furniture accessories.
