Item description
The Danish mid-century teak bookcase with desk-shelf was designed by Poul Cadovius in the 1960s. The straight lines, fine-grained teak wood, quality craftsmanship and modular suspension system enhance the characteristic Scandinavian design style. In addition, the back of each shelf features the manufacturer's original 'Made in Denmark' engraving. This piece of furniture has three shelves joined by wooden rails with brass joints in a line and a desk-shelf, creating a perfect place to work at home. The unit consists of: two 20 cm deep shelves, one 24 cm deep shelf, one 45 cm deep desk-shelf, two 175 cm long wooden rails, brass fittings. In addition, it can be used as a study space, but also as a normal deep shelf for flowers, ceramics, audio equipment, etc. This vintage bookcase is a fully modular shelving system that can be organised to suit your needs. The set is in excellent vintage condition, with minimal traces of use. The wood has been coated with additional layers of Danish oil. In addition, the original rails with metal fittings for the pendant holes have been preserved. We can offer other Danish wall cabinets, in particular by Poul Cadovius, Kai Kristiansen and Preben Sorensen, and can enlarge the one presented on request.
