Item description

English Victorian walnut-root antique writing desk with chiselled leather top. The rectangular shaped top has a walnut-root border with a British green leather chiselled with 24Kt gold leaf in the centre. The under-top band encloses a large drawer with an original key and signed lock. The feet have the classic cabriolet shape connected by a finely carved crossbar resting on contemporary bronze castors. Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method. Provenance: 19th century England. Measurements: 133x65 cm, H 74 cm. Certificate of Authenticity.
