Item description

Planter Napoleon III in fine exotic wood with grafts of Sevres porcelain plaques. The top is removable by means of two gilt bronze handles inside which is a watertight zinc basin. The under-top band is embellished with two Sevres porcelain plaques depicting winged putti. The four feet have the classic cabriolet shape adorned on the four corners by the presence of finely chiselled gilt bronze masks. Provenance: France (1860/80). Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional 'handmade shellac and alcohol' method. Provenance: 19th century France. Measurements: 67x41 cm, H 81 cm. Certificate of Authenticity.
