Pair of antique Louis XIV Neapolitan bedside tables in precious woods with antique yellow marble top. The front is characterised by two drawers set off by a beautiful geometrically patterned woodwork with a bronze profiled spout in the centre. Two chiselled bronze handles characterise the front elevation and are enclosed by a fine exotic wood reserve. All the edges of both the front and the side are enhanced by the presence of mother-of-pearl elements typical of Neapolitan cabinet-making culture. The two curved feet are connected by a mixed-line band. The two tops are in antique yellow marble with antique green marble edging.
Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method. Provenance: 18th century Naples.
