Item description
This functional Danish teak shelving system was designed in the 1960s by Kai Kristiansen, an icon of Danish design, for the renowned furniture company Feldballes Møbelfabrik. Crafted to be aesthetically pleasing and practical, this wall-mounted cabinet is crafted from warm-toned teak wood, with a beautiful wood grain pattern on both the inside and outside of the cabinets. The use of high quality teak wood and veneer ensures the durability and longevity of the piece. Attention to detail is evident in the sculpted side panels of the shelves and the precise joinery joints, which highlight the mastery of Danish craftsmanship. These elements, made of solid teak, also provide additional structural reinforcement. The inclusion of a compact desk with drawers makes this wall unit a great alternative for creating a discreet and aesthetically pleasing home office space in a living room or bedroom. Furthermore, the folding cabinet, thanks to its careful design, allows you to store documents and office accessories in an organized way. A lamp, hidden under one of the shelves, is a practical addition that allows you to make full use of the desk space. This combination of components offers a versatile mix of display and storage options, making it ideal for any space where aesthetics and organization are key. The wall unit consists of: a compact desk: H: 16 / W: 85.5 cm / D: 40 cm (2 drawers with an internal height of 5 cm); a cabinet with flap doors: H: 36 / W: 85.5 / D: 32 cm (3 drawers with an internal height of 3 cm); 5 shelves 18 cm deep; 1 shelf 28 cm deep; 1 shelf with lamp H: 8 / L: 85.5 / D: 18cm; 2 tracks 194 cm long; 1 guide 174 cm long. * The lamp requires a fluorescent tube bulb. Cable length: 160cm. The shelving system is entirely modular and can be organized according to needs thanks to an easy system of metal supports that fit into the tracks, allowing the adjustment and interchangeability of all parts. Despite the passage of time, the wall unit is in excellent original condition. Small traces of use are typical of furniture from this era. The manufacturer's stamp on the back of the shelves confirms its authenticity and high quality. The wood has been cleaned and finished with layers of Danish oil to enhance its natural beauty.
